Original Fairy Poem:
The Mundane Fairy

Original fairy poem: The Mundane Fairy

The Mundane Fairy

What's the matter
with the mundane fairy?
She seems
a bit depressed.
What's the matter
with the mundane fairy?
Were not her ideas
expressed?
What's the matter
with the mundane fairy?
What hides she below,
suppressed?
What's the matter
with the mundane fairy?
What holds she within
her breast?

What would happen
if the mundane fairy
let her secret
out?
What would happen
if the mundane fairy
began to scream
and shout?
What would happen
if the mundane fairy
danced a dance
all her own?
What would happen
if the mundane fairy
allowed our minds
to be blown?

Would she be
the mundane fairy
if she brought her light
to the dark?
Would she be
the mundane fairy
if she lit the world
with her spark?
Would she be
the mundane fairy
if she really became
herself?
Would she be
the mundane fairy
if she let go her
inner elf?

Could it be
the mundane fairy
really isn't so
boring?
Could it be
the mundane fairy
really could be
soaring?
Could it be
the mundane fairy
tried too hard to
please?
Could it be
the mundane fairy
is ready to
go free?

Watch with me
as the mundane fairy
lets her
old ways die.
Watch with me
as the mundane fairy
kisses her old self
goodbye.
Watch with me
as the mundane fairy
dries the tears
from her eyes.
Watch with me
as the mundane fairy
spreads her wings
and flies!
